Judgement from Israel

How does the Orthodox Jew consider the Christian?
Judgement from Israel

I was recently reading on TORAH 1010 , interested in how people of Jewish faith think on Jesus, the Messiah, God, us etc

One part of Torah 101 tripped me up! The author said of Jesus … “Jesus, if he existed – was not the Messiah”. Futher – Christians were ok if they followed the seven laws of Noah, but were idolaters if they believed in the divinity of Jesus. And that breaking this first law of Noah – no Idol worship -= is a sin punishable by death. Therefore, believing that Jesus is the only begotten, beloved Son of our Lord God, is idolatry – punishable by death.

I emailed  the author of the website, just to double check, and he confirmed that – Yes, believing in the divinity of Jesus is idolatry, punishable by death.

What is the Judgement for Christian Dominion?

Jesus is the Lamb of God – The Christ, Son of the Living GodSavior of the World – Lord and Master Friend and HelperSpirit and Truth.

What does Jesus, the Lamb of God tell us? ‘That John the Baptist, Son of Elizabeth, is the greatest prophet born of a woman.

That means greater than Moses and greater than Muhummad.

Jesus, Lamb of God says God will love us and be with us if we do His Commandments.

That’s Two Commandments from Jesus, the Second Commandment, being Like unto the First One

19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19, King James Version)
3But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? (Matthew 15:3, King James Version)
17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:17, King James Version)
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38This is the first and great commandment.
39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Matthew 22:37-39, King James Version)

Jesus, Lamb of God also said things like, “Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.” And, “Judge not….”

What do Jewish People Believe about Jesus?

The Mashiach (Messiah)

The mashiach will be a great political leader descended by a pure male line from King David (Jeremiah 23,5).  The mashiach is often referred to as “mashiach ben David” (The Mashiach, son of David).  He will be well-versed in Jewish law, and observant of its commandments (Isaiah 11,2-5).  He will be a charismatic leader, inspiring others to follow his example.  He will be a great military figure who will win battles for Israel, freeing the Jews of foreign domination and establishing a Torah-based kingdom in Israel.  He will be a great judge, who makes righteous decisions (Jeremiah 33,15).  But above all, he will be a fully normal human being, not a god, demi-god, or other supernatural being.
It has been said that in every generation, a person is born with the potential to be the mashiach.  If the time is right for the messianic age within that person’s lifetime, then that person will be the mashiach.  But if that person dies before he completes the mission of the mashiach, then that person is not the mashiach; thus, even if one could say that some historial Jewish figure was worthy of being the mashiach, since he did not reestablish a Torah kingdom in Israel, he could not possibly have been the real mashiach we wait for.

When Will the Mashiach Come?

 What About Jesus?

Jews know that Jesus could not possibly have been the mashiach.  Assuming that he existed, and assuming that the Christian scriptures are accurate in describing him (both of which are debatable), he simply did not fulfill the mission of the mashiach as Jews have always understood it.  Jesus neither did any of the things described above, nor did he bring about the anticipated messianic age.

Further: While the Christians do generally accept the Hebrew Bible as truly from God, many of them (those who accept the so-called divinity of Jesus) are idolaters according to the Torah, punishable by death, and certainly will not enjoy the World to Come.  But it is not just being a member of a denomination in which the majority are believers in the Trinity that is idolatry, but personal idolatrous practice, whatever the individual’s affiliation.

Interesting – to say the least – that those who believe in the divinity of the Lord Jesus  – according to the Torah  are idolaters who are punishable by death!

Obviously needs confirmation, but I will check it out through I wider network. Just to reiterate – this author of Torah 101 says that christians are idolaters – punishable by death.
